American Soldier’s E-mail
Last week I received this e-mail and I knew right away that I had to post it. This e-mail is from an American Soldier that is not overly involved in politics, but this was his big step into it. Obama is a liar and personally, I don’t want a president that is a liar. If I ever met Sen. Obama, my serious question to him would be, “Who wouldn’t want to spend time with our troops?” They fight for OUR freedoms! So…here’s the e-mail:
Hello everyone,
As you know I am not a very political person. I just wanted to pass along that Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to ‘The War Zone’. I wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle, got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.
As the Soldiers where lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn’t say a word as he went into the conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their service.
So really he was just here to make a showing for the American’s back home that he is their candidate for President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.
I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from one of the Senators, who wants to be the President of the United States. I just don’t understand how anyone would want him to be our Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great country.
If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.
In service,
CPT Jeffrey S. Porter
Battle Captain
American Soldier
Now sit back and think about who you are going to vote for in November. Someone who is caring and has been in the place of the American Soldiers, or someone who blows off our troops and could obviously care less about what they do everyday?

I received a letter from a couple of buddies of mine who are overseas. They didn’t see the Senator firsthand, but another batallion (I believe it was another batalion) they had come in contact with had. They said he didn’t want anything to do with the troops. He only conversed with some of the generals and played hoops for a little and got some photographs.
Reminds me of how he didn’t stop at the veterans hostpital just because the Pentagon wouldn’t allow cameras inside. Shows a lot of class, doesn’t he.

That’s the point exactly. I just don’t understand why Sen. Obama wouldn’t react with the soldiers. It’s common sense that if you want the other side’s votes…you have to do things that you necessarily wouldn’t do. That’s just politics. How hard is it to come down from the throne that he’s on to act like a normal human being? I’m just lost for words with how completely ignorant the man is.

this site is hilarious! you actually take every email forward you get at face value? just how much money have you sent to nigerians?
you’re posting an email forward that has been completely discredited, indeed, the army times reported that the alleged author admits a lot of the facts in the email are wrong.
haven’t you learned to check snopes or at least google the name of an email before you make a fool of yourself like this?
p.s. greetings from israel!

“You too John! I thought you were going to try to control your addiction.”
Yeah, when I’m between experiments or reading journal papers this is how I spend my breaks.
When are you going to come to Philly and come to Drinking Liberally?
