Sarah Palin

Anyone that knows me knows that I am as anti-feminist as it is possible to get.  I hate the idea of breaking up the family unit all in the name of “women empowerment” and abortion on demand.  I hate the “chickification”, as Rush Limbaugh terms it, of the male population because the feminazis take offense at men acting like men.

Recently, however, I have felt like a feminist.  I am almost ashamed to admit it.  Almost…The reason why I can admit that freely and hold my head high is two words:  Sarah Palin.

Now, this doesn’t mean I’m going to run into the streets with a flaming bra in hand.  I’m not a male-hater or an unborn baby-hater.  I look at Sarah Palin and see the true definition of feminism.  A strong, courageous woman who took on the establishment and won not because she is a woman, but because it was right.  Realizing that a young, vivacious woman with a family wouldn’t tickle pink the Alaskan establishment, Sarah worked a little harder.  Was it fair?  No.  Did she complain?  Of course not.

When the media questions her motherhood because of her 17-year-old pregnant daughter or her ablity to lead because of her new down syndrome baby, the last person I see to get upset is Sarah.  She has to deal with sterotypes.  She has to deal with being a conservative woman and not fitting that Hillary image that the media pushes as what’s right for women.

Sarah Palin took on Alaska politics and is going to take Washington by storm!  History will look back at her as the woman to break those preconception and sterotypes because she actually fought the backlash of being a tough, conservative woman.  That’s real feminism.

I could not agree more. The media did not give Sara a fair trial. If they were doing there job they would have point our how she fought the men and women in power in her State to give more power and property back to the people of her state.
