”People with Hart” Seeking Interns
The 2008 election is fast approaching, and interns are being sought to assist with former U.S. Congresswoman Melissa Hart’s campaign to retake Pennsylvania’s 4th Congressional District. The district Republican Melissa Hart is seeking to represent covers N. Allegheny, S. Butler, Beaver, Lawrence, W. Westmoreland and S.W. Mercer Counties.
Interns will perform a wide range of tasks, including campaign event setup and planning, organizing and managing volunteers, assisting with scheduling, answering phones, data entry, advancing the candidate to community events, attending events in place of or with the candidate, press assistant duties and other campaign duties that come up on a daily basis.
Applicants should be motivated to learn and have an interest in politics, the political process, and campaigns. Prefer interns that support Republican ideals.
Hours vary. We would work with the students’ school or work commitments. All majors should apply. Interns can work anytime from now to Nov. 2008.
